A Sense of Place - Joyce Veres and David Grimbleby

''The inspiration for this exhibition is a joint interest in just plain walking through the various locations and not seeking out scenes or vistas. Rather it is letting the atmospheres, textures and feel of a place permeate the photographs, drawings and paintings.

They can never wholly capture the 'beingness' of the locations, but rather work as aids memoire to communicate as much of the 'Sense of Place' as possible.

Joyce Veres has studied fine art at Exeter College of Art and Chelsea School of Art

David Grimbleby has been exhibiting since 1971. He is inspired by nature, landscape and surrealism.''
