Selina Dunne
Selina Dunne is a qualified Art Therapist who uses creativity with an approach that is informed by Psychotherapeutic techniques. Her more recent work as a Community Artist has included commissions for Schools, Community Groups and Health Services.
Her role as a Community Artist draws on her skills as a practicing Visual Artist, however, she strongly believes that with any artistic expression there is enormous therapeutic benefit, offering individuals the opportunity to make new discoveries, and begin their own journey of self-healing and personal development.
Selina runs her own Community Arts Facilitation Service, offering Schools and Community Groups creative workshops to enable expression, exploration and self-development. The workshops are tailor made for each individual group, offering a bespoke person centred service from planning stage to delivery.
Art Techniques used in these sessions include:
Small scale sculpture, puppet making, shadow puppetry, print making, automatas, painting (silk, glass, traditional styles), pottery, photography, digital stop and go film making and textiles.
