I was born in Liverpool in1954. Prior to becoming a teacher I worked in fairgrounds, factories, an oil refinery and the Civil Service. I have lived and worked in the Middle East. I taught in Birmingham, Hull, Wigan and Skelmersdale and was a Liverpool teacher for fifteen years.
I am a published travel writer, essayist, playwright and poet. My work has regularly featured on BBC radio. My book on Leadership and Management is used internationally. I am the author of ‘Deep State’, a political thriller and 'One True Thing', a collection of poetry. I run 'The Fringe Writers and Poets' collective in Southport, edit a community journal for CQEC and run Seaquake books, an imprint of CQEC and an online publisher. I subscribe to Arts organisations working collaboratively in order to become more than the sum of their parts.
