Having originally trained as a Fashion and Textiles designer, I spent
many years enjoying a variety of design roles with major retailers before
becoming self employed as a design strategy consultant to some of the
UK’s biggest manufacturers.

Following that phase of life, I then trained in Adult Education and spent
many happy years teaching a variety of aspects of Art & Design in
colleges and in community settings as well as designing and delivering
a variety of schools Arts Weeks.

It was during this phase that I & a small team of like minded creatives,
founded SCA in 2009.

I am incredibly proud of the organisation that it has become and
continue to enjoy my involvement in it’s development.

In my own creative practice I enjoy trying to capture some of the beauty
of the landscape and natural world around me. I use a wide variety of
media, most often paint, textiles, print or mix of these.

Currently it is the seashore that most often talks to me and I am
exploring a variety of mixed media Textile techniques.
