I was a lifelong Midlander, having been brought up in rural Kenilworth in Warwickshire and then teaching in industrial , multi-cultural Leicester….and then I moved to Southport 3 months ago, which is a fascinating town.

Initially I trained as a silk screen printer and sign writer, which gave an insight into the endless and inspiring opportunities art and creativity can bring to the teaching and learning of primary aged children.

My work in ceramics is a comparatively recent venture. I pot because I have grown to love it and the outcome never fails to surprise. If other people like my work, then all the better… but it isn’t mandatory!

My inspiration is just everyday things that can be played around with and tweaked to make them slightly ridiculous.
