Steven Rigby is a watercolour artist from Southport who is predominately self-taught.

To further his knowledge of the medium, in 2008, Steve went to Australia to study under master painter, Joseph Zbukvic.

Steve and Joseph have kept in touch and remained friends since, and have painted together on trips to Venice and the Dordogne.

Some of the works in his recent exhibition at The ArtHouse have been painted on these trips or completed back at the studio from sketches completed at the time.
 

Steve’s limited palette and free-flowing style have gained him much recognition and his works appear in galleries and collections locally, nationally and world wide.
