My work stems from a love of patterns in nature. Designs can be triggered by the broad sweep of a hillside or the detailed structure of a plant. I enjoy creating the feeling of a scene through the colours fused into glass. I am then able to work a fused tile into a framework of traditional stained glass to draw the shapes and colours outward into the current environment.

 

Layers of interest give the observer a choice of directions to follow.

 

I am happy to work to commission and some of my most interesting designs have evolved from fulfilling a customer brief and moving in a direction I perhaps would not have done without being pushed by a demand.

The work I do is in constant flux and I have a queue of new ideas waiting to be developed and realised.
