Recently two SCA members have organised a series of weaving sessions.

The first few sessions were exploring warp faced techniques using an Inkle loom which is used for weaving narrow bands. there  are examples in the pictures.

We will next be going on to look at weft faced techniques such as used in tapestry weaving before moving on to balanced fabrics on  rigid heddle looms.

The sessions are aimed at complete weaving novices. The class sizes are limited due to the space needed for the equipment and to optimise the contact time. All equipment can be borrowed for practise between sessions for a returnable deposit.

We are operating a waiting list for the next series
